Nice to meet you! My name is Shaylynn.

I am a senior pursuing a BFA in Graphic Design and Illustration from Missouri State University. Stories are my lifeline. I am interested in creating beautiful illustrations and interesting graphics that do more than look pretty; I want to make things that engage, inspire, and inform.

I also run Shealynn's Faerie Shoppe, an Etsy shop where I make handmade jewelry with a fairytale twist. You can find my jewelry and writings on Etsy and the blog, also named Shealynn's Faerie Shoppe.

It's weird to talk about publications and awards when I am writing in the first person. If you care to see these, you can download my résumé.

I've worked as a graphic design intern for Dexter Solutions and the Discovery Center of Springfield, and have worked on several freelance projects. My first children's book, The All Saints' Day Party by Jerry Windley-Daoust, was published by Peanut Butter and Grace in 2017.

On a more personal note, I am from a large and wonderfully nerdy family, I carry a thermos of tea or coffee with me everywhere, and I am trying to learn to ride the unicycle backwards.
